Most every day there is something happening at HTLC! Committees are meeting, groups are gathered, workers are finishing projects, events are being planned and more! There is something for everyone! Committees at Holy Trinity generally meet monthly on "Committee Night" - the 4th Sunday at 6pm for dessert and 6:30pm for meetings.

Committees of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church

Church Council: While not technically a committee, our church council is where it all begins. The Council consists of 9 active members who work together with our Treasurer and Pastor to handle the day to day church business. Council meets monthly, but stays in contact bewteen meetings via e-mail.

Christian Education Committee: Led by our Christian Education Director, this talented group of people gather to plan for monthly Sunday School events, Vacation Bible School and Youth activities. This past year they developed and instituted a new monthly Sunday School event program to replace weekly classes. It was a huge success! Attendance jumped and our children finished the year having learned 10 bible stories! Your ideas are welcomed - stop in to see what's coming next!

Property Committee: The property committee of HTLC has had a challeneging year. The co-chairpeople for the committee began the year recovering from a church break-in. The committee works with our part-time sexton to care for the interior of our church and the church grounds. Major projects for the past year have included the installation of a new alarm/smoke/fire system, removal of old shrubbery that blocked the view of our church and the new landscaping. New members are always needed!

Worship & Music Committee: Monthly W&M gathers on Committee Night to help Pastor Poole plan for Sunday services. Music is chosen and any adjustments to what is needed for altar care are made.

Altar Guild: What a devoted troupe of workers these people are! Behind the scenes, they are the backbone of weekly worship. The group prepares the altar and sacrament each week and cleans up after services. They also create the beautiful displays of flowers for special worship events.

Social Ministry Committee: Our Social Ministry committee is responsibile for planning the Annual Flea Market. Members of the committee work with the Faith Works Committee on other projects throughout the year.

Mutual Ministry: A group of people devoted to working as liason between church membership and staff. Members of the group rotate through a term of service.

For many years, Holy Trinity has opened it's doors to the community. The following groups, though not actually operated by Holy Trinity, meet regularly at our church:
